Art 1 students visited the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts on Wednesday, November 13th to tour an exhibit about local landscapes entitled, “From the Schuylkill to the Hudson: Landscapes of the Early American Republic.”

We discussed the history, significance, and importance of our waterways and their representation in art over time. Some of the first points of our visit seemed extremely relevant to our school and students, which are: the “Academy” and the role of the military.
